Export Your Skills

Every day, Nigerian developers, designers, writers and virtual assistants log on from Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Ibadan and deliver work to companies abroad. They are paid in foreign currency, and they are building careers that the local job market has struggled to offer.

Export Your Skills is your entry into that economy through your laptop rather than japa. You will start with the export economy of talent and what the world is actually buying, then compare the three paths to foreign income: freelancing, remote employment and digital products. From there you learn to package your skills for international buyers, choose between platforms, and approach your first international client. Later chapters cover the money pipeline from payment to your account, working across time zones, and a survival kit for Nigerian remote workers dealing with power, data and connectivity.
