Exit the Queue

There is a queue in Kenya that is not at the bank or Huduma Centre. It is the invisible line of people waiting for someone to give them a job, after being told that good grades and a degree would be enough. Many are still standing in it, and some have started to wonder whether the math works at all.

Exit the Queue is not a how-to for specific platforms. It is about the mindset shift that comes before them. You examine why the queue feels like the only option, what the employment story leaves out, and what the internet actually pays people for. You work through the permission trap that keeps people waiting, and see how your phone can become a business.

The later chapters focus on earning your first thousand shillings, building without a perfect blueprint, handling the people around you, and knowing what to do when things do not work. It is a book for stepping out of the line on purpose and getting started.
